02/28/2011 - Week 94

Sergio got baptized this week in the singles ward! We got to be there! It was really good. I had a chance to talk with his mom a little bit, and maybe, sometime down the road she will start attending church with us, too. She is super nice, and she has seen the whole process Sergio has gone through to find the truth. Who knows?

It has been kinda cold and rainy this week. I realize how soft I have gotten out here. Mom, you have a wimpy boy in California :). It was drizzling and we were knocking and people thought we were crazy to be out in that weather, lol. Silly Californians...
Well, things are as good as ever. Our bishop is really cool, our ward mission leader is great, my companion is a Mexican, our district is full of long time friends, and we have a lot of dinner appointments what more can you ask for, besides referrals.

02/21/2011 - Week 93

Well, we had an amazing close to this past week! Brian Woods was baptized Saturday by Elder Nielsen and confirmed by Elder Wigington on Sunday. It was so cool being able to confirm someone.

We, also, had dinner with Sergio, the miracle guy, and his singles ward fellowshipper's family. Wow, that was a testimony building dinner appointment. God takes extra special care of Sergio. Miracles follow him.

It has been raining a little bit this week.

Elder Nielsen is all packed up. We will get rid of him at six :). My new companion is Elder Izaguirre! Remember him from the Placentia district? He is cool.

Also, I was able to touch someone with my favorite scripture on the plaque. Yay, I love that scripture.

02/14/2011 - Week 92

I am good! We have had a lot of exchanges this week. I even got to spend some time in a trio, group of 3 missionaries, while Elder Neilsen was in District leader training meetings and on the departing missionary temple trip. Bryan wants to get baptized on this Saturday, rather than Sunday, which will be great because Elder Neilsen will get to see both his baptism and confirmation before he goes home! And I had a fun contact with a one legged Harley guy. He lives in Arizona, though, so I don't think I will ever bump into him again. His girlfriend is a member, so maybe, we triggered something; either way, it was fun talking with him. We are also teaching this amazing 17 year old Philip. He really likes meeting with us.

02/07/2011 - Week 91

The miracles continue! We did a lot of follow up this week. I got to have a small part in a huge miracle. Elder Nielsen found a guy named Sergio on exchanges last week, and we taught him this week. He told us he had been waiting his whole life for this and had been praying for someone to come by and invite him to church this past month. His prayers were answered. He accepted a baptismal date and came to church. He even got on the stand and bore his testimony of it all!!! He will be going to the singles ward next week.

Bryan, the boyfriend of a single sister convert in our ward, is still progressing toward baptism on Feb 20th. I taught him for the first time this week. He is really cool and we will be teaching him at Brother Hess's house on Wednesday.

A super cool less active Brother faithfully came to church for the 4th week in a row, but this time the rest of the family came with him!!!

Oh, also, Brother Hess and I got talking; He said, "We should have cast you a Napoleon Dynamite. You have curly hair." He was joking, but I though it was worth telling you because he is The Brother Hess. And I am going to teach a lesson in his home! Too bad I haven't seen any of his other movies!
